2025 Fraternity of Priests Annual Meeting

June 23 – 27, 2025 – Steubenville, Ohio (USA)

May the grace and peace of the Lord Jesus be with you now and throughout 2025!

I would like to invite you to attend this year’s Annual Conference! It is truly the highlight of our year as brothers of the Fraternity of Priests. As we agreed at our conference in New Jersey last summer, we will participate in the 50th Anniversary Conference for Priests, Deacons, and Seminarians at Franciscan University in Steubenville, Ohio. The conference will take place in Steubenville, Ohio, from Monday evening, June 23 through Friday, June 27, the Feast of the Sacred Heart.

The total cost to attend the conference is $825, which includes lodging and meals. We have, however, set aside funds to assist brothers who are active in a domestic Fraternity. We will honor reimbursement requests of up to $1000.00 to help cover travel expenses and conference registration costs. It is our hope that this will encourage more brothers to attend!

We will also honor reimbursement requests of up to $2000.00 to help cover travel expenses and conference registration costs for international brothers who are presently active in an international Fraternity. This year we are limiting this reimbursement to one priest per diocese. Additionally, we will try to encourage the attendance of brothers who have never had the opportunity to come to a conference. Of course, any international brother priest who can arrange his own funding for travel and registration should attend!

All reimbursements will be made at the conference. Please bring receipts for travel expenses and your conference registration. We will provide a simple reimbursement form to use. Reimbursement requests may be submitted after the conference. I would also ask that you alert me as soon as possible that you plan to submit a reimbursement request with an approximate amount. It is the sole responsibility of each priest to arrange his own travel this year.

Arrange your flights to Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT). Plan to arrive at Franciscan University during the afternoon of Monday, June 23. Shuttles to and from the airport on Monday, June 23, and Friday, June 27, are available through the Conference Office of the University when you register.

Once you are registered and have your travel plans set – please let us know that you’re planning on attending the conference! Return the enclosed form to us or visit the 2025 Annual Meeting page on our website (www.fraternityofpriests.org) to submit your responses. This form provides an opportunity to cast your vote for the Annual Brotherhood Award. You may nominate a brother with this online form even if you cannot attend the conference.

Please note that our website response form does not register you for the conference!

Finally, on two afternoons of the conference we will gather as a Fraternity. We will cover business matters, especially the election of board members. We will need to elect three board members. I am completing my second term and am ineligible. Dwight Merrick and Tom Galvin are completing their first term and, if willing, can be nominated for a second term. Prayerfully consider serving on the board and/or surface the name of a brother willing to serve. We will also be nominating a brother for the Annual Brotherhood Award.
